Stone Of Tranquility

Eucryptite was named in 1880 by Brush and Dana from the Greek for "well concealed", in allusion to its occurrence embedded in albite. Also known as α-eucryptite or alpha-eucryptite. It is a silicate mineral and typically occurs as granular to massive in form and may replace spodumene. It is a sacred stone to the Rhodesan native culture and was used in communication with spiritual worlds. It is an excellent stone for those who are not totally relaxed when expressing emotions of the heart. Said to assist one in attaining deep meditative states, also eliminates energy blockages. Eucryptite shows a beautiful, rich,
red fluorescence under short wave UV.
